Asthma Tracker & Log Versions 1.10 and 1.10.1

I never got around to posting about Asthma Tracker & Log version 1.10 that was released last week. It adds the ability to email your Peak Flow Chart. Hopefully that is of use to those of you who want to share this with your doctor!

Also, an update with some bug fixes in 1.10.1. This version fixes some date/time issues for international users. A big thank you to Anna from Sweden (http://twitter.com/AnnA_lg13) for her help in not only determining where exactly the bugs were, but in testing once they were fixed!

I hope this resolves some issues that you may have been having if you are a non-US user.

Asthma Tracker & Log Version 1.9 released!

Asthma Tracker & Log Version 1.9 has been released to the Android Market!

This version allows you to track your daily treatments on the peak flow page, up to 3 treatments. There is also an update to the ad service in this version, requiring a change to the permissions (sorry).

Next will be the ability to email charts. Look for that sometime next week!

Asthma Tracker & Log Version 1.8

A new update for Asthma Tracker & Log today!

I added the ability to have Peak Flow thresholds outside of the 50%/80% that I began with. If that's what you use, then you won't have to make any changes on your part. Otherwise you can set new values (either percentages or fixed l/min numbers) in the Settings.

A couple more features coming up:
- I'll be adding a treatment section to the Peak Flow entry page (and renaming the page) so you can track daily treatments
- Ability to email PF charts

As always, I'd love to hear your feedback and would appreciate you rating the app in the Market if you find it useful!

Asthma Tracker & Log version 1.6

There have been a few requests for the ability to track multiple symptom and treatments when entering an Attack. That is now available in version 1.6, just released this morning!

Also, coming soon will be a note field on the PF entry page. Look for that in version 1.7.

What else would you like to see in Asthma Tracker & Log?

Asthma Tracker and Log - Peak Flow Charting!

The paid version of Asthma Tracker (only $0.99!) now has a beta release of Peak Flow charting. Check it out and let me know what you think!

Note about the picture - The chart line is blue and is hard to see in the screenshot, but it is much better on the actual phone, at least on mine. If you have issues with the color, let me know and I can change it.

Asthma Tracker & Log 1.4.1

Just a quick update today. I replaced the text field labels in the Attack Entry page and Action Plan Wizard of "# of units" to "Dose". In addition to that change, I also made it so that the Dose field on the Attack Entry page allows characters other than numbers. The Action Plan Wizard already did this, so they are now consistent.

Exporting data

I should be wrapping up work on exporting data out of Asthma Tracker & Log soon. So far I've just heard requests for comma spaced values and a plain text email. Any other requests while I'm working on it?

Version 1.3 released!

Version 1.3 of Asthma Tracker & Log has been released! The major update in this release is the ability to use a wizard to build an Asthma Action Plan. This plan is something that you should create with your doctor to help to manage your asthma. The Action Plan Wizard is on the Setup page.

You can turn the Action Plan on or off in the Settings and you can also decide whether to use your personal best Peak Flow or a target value given to you by your doctor. This value helps determine what Zone you are in with your Peak Flow readings.

Please let me know if you have any comments or problems.

A special thanks goes to the AllergistMommy for her suggestions and reviewing a beta version of this release. Check out her blog and her Twitter page!

I'll start work soon on the next update which will include an export option to share your data with your doctor. Any format you would like to see?

Upcoming features

More features to come...

Still trying to figure out the best way to export data for giving to a doctor. Any format suggestions?

Charts for peak flow readings.

Maybe an asthma action plan?

And multiple user support in case you are tracking data for more than one person.

Any other ideas? I'd love to hear them!

Export format

Anyone currently provide their doctors with asthma data? What format do you use? Looking for the best way to export the data saved in Asthma Tracker & Log.

Updates

I neglected to post about a previous version, so a little catch up here...

Version 1.1 included a Notes field in the Attack Entry page and Attack Log page. This update was a result of user feedback, so if there is something you'd like to see let me know!

Version 1.2, released today, includes the ability to backup the database and import it to/from an SD card.

Exploring Ashtma Tracker & Log

The Peak Flow Entry page is where you can enter the date and time of your test along with the results. This information is viewable in a log, and will soon be available in chart form.

Is there more information you like to track? Let me know!

On the Attack Entry page, you can keep track of when and where your attack happened, as well as details about the attack itself. This information is also viewable in a log.

Would it be helpful to be able to export or email the data in the logs to be able to share with your doctor?

Version 1.0 released!

Version 1.0 of Asthma Tracker & Log has been released in the Android Marketplace!

You can use Asthma Tracker & Log to track your asthma attacks and details about them such as when and where they occur, what triggered them, and how you treated them. If you use a peak flow meter, you can also enter your meter readings and keep track of them over time.

In this version you can view all the information you enter in a log format, but coming soon, you will be able to view your peak flow readings in a chart format!

Details about your asthma attacks including location, symptom, trigger, and treatment are completely customizable. You can add to, edit, or delete any of the default entries available.

I got the idea to create Asthma Tracker & Log when our 2 yr old son started daily breathing treatments. So if you have any ideas on how to make this a more useful app, leave a comment or email me at asthmatrackerapp@gmail.com!
